I HAVE NOTHING TO SAY - AND I'M SAYING IT

David Tudor- Bandoneon (a combine) 1966

In 1966 ten New York artists and thirty engineers and scientists from Bell Telephone Laboratories collaborated on a series of innovative dance, music and theater performances, 9 Evenings: Theatre & Engineering, held in October at the 69th Regiment Armory, New York City. The artists included were John Cage, Lucinda Childs, Öyvind Fahlström, Alex Hay, Deborah Hay, Steve Paxton, Yvonne Rainer, Robert Rauschenberg, David Tudor and Robert Whitman. Archival material has been assembled into ten films, each of which reconstructs the artist's original work and uses interviews with the artists, engineers and performers in documentaries that illuminate the artistic, technical and historical aspects of the work.

Bandoneon! (a combine) is David Tudor’s first full concert work as a composer. Tudor played the bandoneon as the input into a complex sound (compact / air microphones) and visual modification system that moved sound from speaker to speaker and controlled lights and video images, creating a work that animated the entire Armory space. = Saturated Amplifier!

Within days after the release of Negativland's clever parody of U2 and Casey Kasem, recording industry giant Island Records descended upon the band with a battery of lawyers intent on erasing the piece from the history of rock music. Craig Baldwin follows this and other intellectual property controversies across the contemporary arts scene. Playful and ironic, his cut-and-paste collage-essay surveys the prospects for an "electronic folk culture" in the midst of an increasingly commodified corporate media landscape.

Donald S. Joyce (February 9, 1944 – July 22, 2015) was an American musician who was a member of the experimental music group Negativland. He also hosted a weekly radio program called Over the Edge on the Berkeley, California, radio station KPFA, for more than 30 years.

Στο βάλτο αδερφές μου στο βάλτο... Πετυχημένη αμερικανιά που προφανώς γράφτηκε και γυρίστηκε ταυτόχρονα για/με όλα τα σύγχρονα συμβάντα. Μια ματιά παρακάτω αποδεικνύει την κενότητα και το τίποτα. Κρατάμε τον βάλτο χωρίς κουνούπια, κροκόδειλους και εκείνον τον χαιτά των 80s που έτρεχε με κάτι τζετ σκι ανάμεσα στα καλάμια για να σώσει από το κακό δεσποινίδες σαν την πρωταγωνίστρια. Κακό αν το σκεφτείς, εύπεπτο αν συνοδεύσει καμιά πίτσα. Σχολιάστε άφοβα, όλα είναι ίδια, τρελίτσες και να περνά η ώρα.

Ordovician Dual Zero

Πριν δυο μέρες έπαιξαν ζωντανά στις Βρυξέλλες αυτά εδώ τα κομμάτια. Τώρα τα ακούω εγώ, παράλληλα με τις φωνές τις γαλλικές (που σημαίνει ότι δεν κάνανε την κλασική soundboard ηχογράφησα, εύγε!), τους καπνούς από τα μηχανήματα και κανά κρυφό τσιγάρο και νιώθω την ίδια χαρά από τα βιντεάκια του γκρουπ όταν ανακοινώνανε ότι έρχονται στην Ευρώπη. Τους έλειψε κι ήταν από τους λίγους που παρέμειναν απόλυτα ζωντανοί τα 2 τελευταία χρόνια... κι αυτό ακούγεται.

4 άνθρωποι - μουσικοί - δημιουργοί - στοχαστές, γεννημένοι μέσα σε 18 μήνες στα μέσα της δεκαετίας του '30 που είναι μέχρι και σήμερα, το 2022, ενεργοί, παραγωγικοί, υπαρκτοί με κάθε έννοια. Εξαιρετικό.

Μπήκα στο τρένο, το γρήγορο, το γιαπωνέζικο, γιατί τ' αγγλικά τα τρένα ωραία είναι για κανά Snatch αλλά θέλουμε τώρα περισσότερα έσοδα που η Αντζελίνα θυμήθηκε τα παλιά. Δεν βάζουμε και γνωστά κομμάτια όπως έκανε ο Ταραντίνος, μόνο διασκευές που παίζουν ανάμεσα στο γελοίο λούμπεν και το λούμπεν το καλό το παραδοσιακό.
