"Tones, Drones and Arpeggios" is a terrific one&two episode BBC Four documentary on American minimalism pioneers La Monte Young (October 14, 1935), Terry Riley (June 24, 1935), Steve Reich (October 3, 1936), and Philip Glass (January 31, 1937) who reimagined "classical" music and had a massive and continuing influence on punk, experimental, ambient, and electronic music.
